Welcome to the RACGP online grant application service, powered by SmartyGrants.
The RACGP has established an award in memory of one of its most dedicated researchers, Professor Charles Bridges-Webb AO. Charles became a member of the RACGP in 1959, and was an inspiration and a wise mentor for generations of general practice researchers in Australia. He was awarded both the Rose Hunt Award and Life Fellowship of the RACGP and was Director of the RACGP NSW&ACT research unit until June 2010.
Professor Bridges-Webb was also recognised by the Australian Association for Academic Primary Care through Life Membership and by the World Health Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) through Fellowship, the most prestigious award of the international organisation awarded to individuals who have rendered outstanding service to primary care and family medicine at a global level.
The award of up to $1,000 (excluding GST) is available to pay for direct research costs associated with the conduct of any study that has ethics approval and is deemed to have relevance to general practice, health care, health outcomes or health professional education.
